The Intellectual Property Group consists of attorneys, patent attorneys and technical staff with extensive knowledge and experience over the complete spectrum of technology and legal practice, able to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.

The Practice Group has provided consistent services in the areas of consulting, information search, and application and registration procedures for intellectual property rights, and has conducted various actions and procedures at the KIPO (Korea Intellectual Property Office), such as objections, decisions and litigation at the Patent Court. Furthermore, the Practice Group has greatly contributed to the protection of its clients' interests by properly taking various civil and criminal procedures in order to resolve legal disputes involving infringement upon intellectual property rights, utilizing the Firm's solid competence and experience in the field of litigation. Likewise, our comprehensive services on various legal matters relating to intellectual property rights include the entire range of practices relevant to the execution of license agreements to properly exercise our clients' rights and to provide consulting services with respect to the establishment, management and technical alliance for venture companies with promising technologies.

In order to undertake such tasks effectively and reliably, the Practice Group has built up a global cooperative network of prominent law firms and patent attorneys' offices all over the world and has been compiling information on the most recent developments relating to intellectual property right protection in every part of the world by attending international conferences and symposia. In the meantime, the Practice Group is making all-out research efforts in new domains of intellectual property, such as unfair competition, software-related patents, internet domain names, computer typefaces, electronic commerce, etc., beyond the traditional sphere of intellectual property rights. In addition, it is enhancing its reputation with respect to the legal aspects of various sports and entertainment events, and the production, broadcast and advertisement of audio and video products.

Recently, vigorously taking advantage of the benefits of being located in the center of the "Teheran Valley," the Practice Group provides venture businesses and young entrepreneurs with comprehensive and complete legal services regarding general corporate law, such as the establishment and operation of a business, initial inducement of capital, and assistance with their IPOs. The Practice Group also provides services relating to technical consulting and patent application supported by the Venture Business Support Group, which consists of experts from various practice groups such as the Intellectual Property Group, the Corporate Law Group and the Finance, Banking & Securities Group.

Recognizing the achievements and efforts of the Firm, the KIPO has retained our Firm as its exclusive legal counsel, and our Firm provides legal consulting to numerous corporations (promising small and medium-sized enterprises and venture businesses, as well as large conglomerates), in addition to providing legal services to the Korean Organizing Committee for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Seoul National University Research Park Incubating Center, Hoseo University, Korea Bio Venture Association and the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association.
