The Securities, Banking and Finance Practice Group provides clients with all-round and in-depth legal services on any and all aspects of securities and financing affairs related to activities conducted by domestic and overseas banks, securities companies, investment and trust companies, investment banks and other financial institutions, as well as fund-raising by domestic or overseas companies. The attorneys in this Practice Group frequently participate in securities and financing related litigation, requiring specialized experience and knowledge in the area of financing with support from the Litigation Practice Group. The attorneys also provide advice on the establishment, amendment and interpretation of Korean securities and financing-related laws and regulations. Also, as merger and acquisition transactions are increasing dramatically in number, the Practice Group is providing legal advice on securities related regulations and financing methods which are essential to such transactions. The Practice Group has participated in overseas sales projects for a number of listed companies. The Practice Group is also participating in projects involving the attraction of investors for the privatization of public corporations and represents purchasers and sellers in M&A deals concerning stocks or assets of a number of financial institutions and listed companies.
